Immigration facts

Remember you can use statistics to prove anything, so when you see one sided statistics you know you're being fed propaganda.

One thing is clear about immigration, whenever somebody talks about it in terms of controlling or reducing numbers, you have a whole avalanche of people who will call it scaremongering & scapegoating & pandering to the 'far right xenophobic' etc. These are simply ways to shut down the actual discourse without truly addressing it. It's a fear tactic similar to calling people 'racist' 'bigot' blah blah again and again instead of discussing things like mature people.

Here's the reality. Mass immigration makes assimilation difficult. For example if 3-4 families move into an estate with 300 people, they will likely assimilate over time & adapt & fit into the culture. However if 80-90 families move in, then what is the culture of that estate anymore? It's now 1/3 different, who adapts to who? Assimilation becomes dysfunctional & doesn't work. Sometimes the natives move out completely not liking what it's become & they are replaced by more immigrant families & suddenly this estate that was once an English culture/speaking estate becomes a ghetto and very different(not in a good way 9 times out of 10) to how it was.
Then you have old people who have lived their most of their life basically spending their last years wondering where the hell they are, what the heck has happened to their country. This is in part how UKIP came to be about. That's why in it's early days it was full of mostly old aged members.

A lot of the rebuttals to Theresa May's speech not only used misleading statistics but they continually conflated mass immigration with immigration. Doing that is entirely dishonest since the two things are wildly different in effect & consequence.

Clearing up every pseudo intellectual point briefly.

1. Her speech was 'dangerous'

What's actually dangerous is not addressing this issue. We have seen many groups formed & a lot of extremism in response to mass immigration. We've also imported many Eastern European gangs. We've also had a huge amount of Islamic extremism. Recently Bangladesh said Britain is exporting Islamic extremism to their country!
So what's dangerous is allowing this to fester without addressing it. It was not dangerous of Theresa May to make a look overdue speech on this issue at all.
In Sweden every single time the migration wave went up, their far right party's numbers went up too & now they're the leading party in the polls in Sweden. So tell me how is a speech addressing the issue dangerous, when not addressing the issue has such horrendous consequences?

2. Business leaders label her speech 'nonsense' and proclaim mass immigration is great for business & doesn't cost British people jobs.

Mass immigration has been good for some businesses in that they can always find people to do work for cheap now. Where as before painters might charge £150 a day, now you can get some Polish dude to do the same job for £50 a day. That's great for richer people or certain companies, but not so much for wages or the careers of people in certain fields here.

They claim immigrants have made the economy 20 billion! of course this doesn't include money cost by immigrants using the NHS. It doesn't include the extra strain on schools & school places. It doesn't include the extra strain on transport services. It doesn't include the strain on housing & the fact so many more new houses are needed, and now many young people cannot get a council house & have to stay living with their parents or live in crap cramped places.
Importantly it doesn't include the fact non EU migrants have cost the country 60 billion, 3 times that amount.

The type of people who have no clue about immigration....

1. Uni middle class students. To them opposing mass immigration = xenophobic, and they gotta be the caring 'lovely' diversity championing folk. So they oppose it on ideological ignorant grounds & their lack of knowledge on the actual real effects of mass immigration leads them to use labels on others a lot. It's easier than being totally exposed as clueless.

2. The no borders free Palestine fuck the queen & Britain type people.  To them they are professional victims while always looking for some 'social justice' type nonsense to champion. So this is a great opportunity to exploit people's concerns and use that to imply hatred towards great immigrants just trying to improve their lives & act like they're on the side of the persecuted, it makes them feel good. But again, they have no idea what the heck they're talking about.

Twitter the home of overreaction & misleading misinformation does what it does best & fuels the flames of stupidity.

Here's some.
